2 Days and Counting…

This Saturday, November 8, PACEM opens our doors for a 5th winter of shelter and support for our homeless neighbors.   It always takes a lot of work and preparation to get to this point;  I think we’re just about ready to go.  Christina Mora from Channel 29 news was kind enough to run a story recently about our pending re-opening — click here to view it on-line.

If you come across anyone who is in need of shelter this winter, please feel free to send him/her our way.  Intake is from 5-6pm at Holy Comforter Church behind the downtown library, starting on Saturday and running through the middle or end of March.  PACEM exists to make sure that no one in Charlottesville ever needs to spend a night out on the streets in the dead of winter.  Even a cot in a crowded church basement is preferable to that.
