PACEM provided a total of 7,982 nights of shelter last winter.
We sheltered an average of 40 men and 12 women each night, and a total of 229 adults.
Of the adults we sheltered, 178 men, 48 women, and 3 families.
The average length of stay in our shelters was 35 nights, shorter than previous years.
Our local Point in Time Count identifed 135 homeless adults staying in emergency shelter beds in January. 40% of those individuals were sheltered at PACEM.
45% of individuals at PACEM cited “not enough income” as their primary reason for homelessness.
40% of PACEM guests came from living on the street, compared to 27% of guests the previous year.
