A small gift can take a neighbor off the streets. $30 provides a safe place to spend the night and gives a homeless person a shot at moving on from the crisis of homelessness.

Where will the money go? PACEM provides trained shelter staff overnight at each shelter, and housing-focused case management during the daytime for all guests. We also provide advocacy and mentorship to help our guests leave homelessness behind.

Share Your Holiday Spirit
Holidays are the hardest time of year for our homeless neighbors. This is also the hardest time of year for our congregational partners to find volunteers. PACEM needs help providing and serving holiday meals and extra volunteers for holiday evenings. To volunteer during the holidays, please contact:

     Donate Clothes, Shoes, and Other Gifts              Whether it’s clothing, shoes, and toiletries, or items like backpacks and sleeping bags, our guests are always in need. We have community partners who offer clothing to PACEM’s guests for free (see below). Both will gladly accept your donation and your help with distribution. With respect to other items, please contact us here.

Community Clothing Partners

Clothing Center CVBA 
Located at 815 Bolling Avenue (behind Belmont Baptist Church), the Clothing Center is open Monday, Tuesday and Saturday morning from 10 – 12 noon, Wednesday from 5 – 7 p.m., and Saturday 9 – 11 a.m. Guests can receive vouchers from PACEM or the Haven.

Belmont Community Clothes Closet
Located at 750 Hinton Avenue at Church Street (at Hinton Avenue United Methodist), the Clothes Closet is open Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., and provides clothing and basic household items to anyone who comes and signs in.
